I've been using the Questrade forex simulator and I'm wondering how it compares to real forex trading before setting up an account. The strategy I'm using is mainly based off of MACD and stochastics and so far I'm getting good trades very often. I've made a 4% return off the past day. I know that I'm using a somewhat solid strategy but can it really be this easy? Is the simulator realistic?
Suggest any free forex back tester or forex simulator.
I am new to Forex. I am reading a lot. Practicing on demo account. I want to back test my strategy but i can't find anything good. I have come across few simulators online but they are trail variants and their scale is limited as well. They download small amount of history data. For longer variant they are asking for payment. They are whoopingpy expensive . I have yet to make anything on Forex. Let alone pay them 200-300 dollars for their full subscription . Or please suggest a free way to do it. Is it possible on meta trader to practice on history data? I think problem with meta trader is that you see the future easily. It doesn't hide it for the sake of practice.
How legit are these Forex Simulators? This can't be right. Download the app, gives you $1000 (USD?) of play money and the way you go. Within 15 minutes I'm up $100. What's the catch?
Heard about group licenses of Forex Simulator but can't find any info. Help?
Hey guys, I heard from someone, that group licenses of Forex Simulator exist, which are cheaper than buying it myself. Does anybody have any info on the subject? I would really like to accelerate my learning by backtesting a lot instead off demoing before I start my demo account(s). Thanks in advance :)
Hey, I am ust starting to get into the forex market, and I need somewhere to practice. I have been using saxo bank as a sim, but I only have limited time unless I put in some money. I was wondering if there are other softwares as complete as saxo but free to practice without limited time. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks
Hey, i am not sure if it has been mentioned here before.. probably yea.. but i would like to ask you, since it is really not unreal technology.. When im testing strategies, first i try to look at old data on metatrader and then to work with demo to try it out, but obviously, smart trader.. or.. in strategies that I use.. won't just jump into any trade, so i am looking for more quantity.. Let me make it clear.. Is there any program, that shows you Old forex charts from past.. like they are actual new data.. and where you can.. idk, speed up time to see how it reacts? The idea is for me to enter trade, then speed it up, or move forward in time to see if it would have worked.. because if you look at old data, you can see further development, so it is not real situation and you can see things you wouldn't see Well.. i hope i explained my issue well enough ^ Thank you for your anwers!
Could anyone recommend any online Forex simulators for newbies such as myself? I actually found a good simulator that can forward the trading days and you can literally see the graph going up and down, and with that effect, see if you're making or losing money. It's a good way of learning Forex as I finally understand things like Stop-Loss from this simulation; but I couldn't keep using it as the trial has ended : / I really appreciate it if anyone can recommend me any accessible simulators such as this, or any simulators that are friendly to newbies such as myself :)
